Last weekend, we had an amazing trip to Dartmoor. Our camping barn was on the nippy side, but we didn't mind. And neither did the farm cat or the long-earred bat that turned up briefly to say hi. On the saturday, we has a lovely walk across the moors in glorious sunshine. Apart from a brief shower which was introduced by a spectacular full-bodied rainbow. We also managed to acquire some delicious homemade chutney and chocolate cake from the side of the road.
The panorama below shows the view from our lunch spot on Saturday. Hay Tor is off on the right, and was our final destination before heading to our barn. Click on it for a larger view!
On the Sunday, we travelled to North Dartmoor, for a shorter walk which took in the highest point on the moors. Unfortunately, this meant we were in the clouds. The very friendly horses which greeted us as we finished the walk were happy to pose for photos and get their noses stroked!
